Apache 2.0 Licensed Fonts

Fonts under the Apache License 2.0 - use, modify, redistribute and even sell them, in any project, with no royalties.

Frequently asked questions

Practically everything: use in personal and commercial work, embedding in apps and websites, modification, redistribution - even selling the font files themselves. You only need to keep the license text and copyright notice with the font files when you redistribute them.

Not for using them. Your website, logo or printed piece needs no credit. Attribution obligations only apply when you pass the font files on to others - include the Apache 2.0 license text and any NOTICE file.

The main practical difference: Apache 2.0 permits selling the font files on their own, while the OFL does not. Apache also has no reserved-name rule, so renamed derivatives are simpler. For just using a font in your work, the two are equally free.
